If you are looking for the perfect gift for that “health nut” I have it right here! Show that special person how much you understand them and support their well-being with this gift that keeps giving all year long.

I am so excited to share a gift I recently received for my birthday with you all. It has a little backstory which made the gift that much more perfect for me!

This past summer every Saturday morning, my friends and I would meet up at the local farmers market. On this particular Saturday, I hit the jackpot! I walked up to what I thought would be a blueberry stand (as it was in the past) but there were… MICROGREENS! Needless to say, I was super excited about them. I immediately purchased a box of these little delicious, concentrated, vitamin-packed little baby greens.

We walked around a little more and ended the morning with a trip to Panera for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. When my spinach, avocado, egg white, sundried tomatoes on honey oat flatbread came, I opened my box of microgreens at topped it off with a big pile of them. My friends laughed at me but it was definitely worth it because that sandwich was delicious.

So anyway, back to this awesome gift… it was my very own HAMAMA home microgreens growing kit! My friends know me so well!!

The next day, I opened it up and I was so surprised to see how easy it was. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I didn’t think it would be so simple and neat. There was zero dirt or a mess to clean up. I even read the directions a few times to make sure I wasn’t leaving the dirt part out.

All I had to do was put the quilt in the planter box and add water to the fill line. I sat it in my window and that’s was it. I didn’t have to go back and add any water.

My second surprise with HAMAMA microgreens was how fast they grew. In less than 2 weeks, you have a whole batch of microgreens to eat and enjoy.

What Are Microgreens

Microgreens are the start of vegetables as they are growing. They are around 1-3 inches tall. Don’t take their size for granted. Microgreens are small but mighty! I’m referring to the nutritional content and aromatic flavor they contain.

Most seeds produce sprouts that are high in antioxidants, iron, potassium, copper, and magnesium. In fact, microgreens can be up to nine times higher in nutrients than mature green because they are super concentrated.

With all of the nutrients come health benefits.

How Do You Eat Microgreens

There are many ways to enjoy microgreens. You can add microgreens to sandwiches, salads, pizza, smoothies, pasta dishes or just about anything you would like a little extra flavor or nutrition added to.

  3. Love micro greens. My daughter has just set up a home based business with plants and the micro greens are such fast growers. It’s great especially in these uncertain times, to be able to provide for ourselves in some small way.
