If you have been anxiously watching the news and waiting to see what the effects of covid19 were going to do to the US, you are not alone. If you are reading this, the time to prepare is now! I wanted to make this blog strictly for people who are preparing for covid19 on a budget. I speak with experience because this is what my family has been doing over the past month. Since we had time, I would pick up things here and there but we don’t have that kind of time anymore. So, I have a list of the best prices for the items you need to prepare for covid19 or any other emergency situation to come. I will also update it weekly to match the current sales.

If you are out of the loop and not sure why you need to prepare, I want to encourage you to read this article. https://www.optimizedlife.com/why-you-should-start-preparing-for-covid19/ then jump back over here and take advantage of the savings below.

You only want to buy non-perishable food items because they have a much longer shelf life so if we are in the clear with covid19, you will have lots of food we can always eat! Having a supply of non-perishables at home is always a good idea. You can keep them as your emergency stockpile, or use it as your everyday food. WIN-WIN!

Before I go over the list, I have a few tips that will save even more money but it will take a few minutes to research and you might even have to go to multiple stores.

  1. Publix BOGO (if you only buy one, its half price)
  2. Kroger Sales aisle (if you are a Kroger shopper, you know what aisle I am talking about!) and Weekend deals
  3. Aldi Weekly Specials
  4. Buy the store brand or generic
  5. Coupons on top of specials and already marked down or clearance items equals MAJOR SAVINGS!
